![]() ![]() Many plays and musicals have had their world premieres with SCT including: Emma, Death Valley: A Love Story, The Magical Adventures of Jack McPoorly–or–Climb Every Beanstalk, The Penelope Blues, Pitch, The Maelstrom, In No Sense, Dear John: A New Revelation, The CASA Project, The Nutley Papers: The Musical, Sheer Will: A Musical Invention, Dawg Pound Blues and Little Vegas. SCT has become known as a home to regional productions of major works such as Hair, The Color Purple, How I Learned to Drive, Angels in America–Part One: Millennium Approaches, Oleanna, Avenue Q, The Laramie Project, Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women, Bat Boy: The Musical, Bent, Master Class, Urinetown: The Musical, The Pillowman, Doubt: A Parable, Striking 12 and Bug. SCT productions have not only been seen in its regular homes, but also at other venues including the Springfield Art Museum, the SCT Backlot, Mother's Brewing Company, Classic Rock Coffee, Nonna's Restaurant South, Vandivort 2nd Stage, Canvas Gallery and The Old Glass Place. The production is directed by George Seylaz and runs from April 8th through the 23rd. While at the Vandivort Center Theatre, it served as a principle performance venue for the Ozark House Concert Series, MSU Baird Project Student Productions and Good Company for All Ages. This relationship begins as friendship and ends with the murder of Becket by Henry�s henchmen at the Cathedral of Canterbury. �Becket or The Honor of God,� by Jean Anouilh, tells the troubled story of the relationship between Thomas � Becket and Henry Plantagenet, known to history as King Henry II of England. �Becket� will be directed by Cheryl Rossillo.
